Daily tools must be easy for lawyers to use

We have all encountered legal software that requires users to jump back and forth across the interface and memorise where the right buttons are hidden.

At Ilves, we believe good software should work on the user’s terms. Each step should feel like a clear and intuitive continuation of the one before it.

This is the thinking behind the Ilves 1-2-3 design principle, which forms the foundation of Ilves MyActivities Pro and minimises unnecessary clicking.

Ease of use has been one of our most important design principles from the beginning but improving ease of use is never truly finished.

We develop our services step by step together with our clients, listening closely to how the product works in lawyers’ daily practice. Every new feature must earn its place without making the core experience more complicated.

Some improvements may appear small: one fewer click, a clearer choice, a better default or a more logical next step.

But these small details determine whether a system is merely usable or genuinely easy to use every day.

For us, simplicity means having the discipline to make those capabilities easy to use.

After all, a service only creates value when people use it.
